President Obama's Speech to Students
This is really getting to me. I respect the right of free speech and trust me, I use it quite often, but this just takes it too far. This speech Obama plans to make to the students (myself included) is just not in his place. The issue he is talking about is something that should be between the students and their parents or guardians. Obama is trying to change the way we think about the world. I'm all for encouraging students to do better in school (because we all can) but for him to take it to this level really upsets me.
Something about it just doesn't seem right to me. I feel that he may add in something to the speech that wasn't released last week. Something political. What exactly it is I have no idea. I think it might be better for the parents to watch the speech (or teachers at least) and then them have the decision to relay it to the students. I like that the speech is optional, but he still shouldn't do it to begin with. It is wrong. We've seen the controversy it has brought up. Why is he continuing to go with it?
President Obama may be the one of most controversial presidents this nation has ever had. Something just doesn't seem right about him, though. Only time will tell. We'll see.

I Had a Crazy Dream
I had this dream about a month ago.
It was dark out and we were in an army helicopter. We were hovering just above some trees in what looked like the middle of nowhere. There was another helicopter next to us, hovering as well. All of a sudden, both helicopters exploded and we gently floated down to the ground, minus the pilots. They were killed. We looked up and the helicopters came crashing down on top of us. We weren't hurt. We just kinda backed up and stared at them as they were ablaze. I looked around and could recognize I was with some friends, Jon, Lauren, Kirstie, Amanda, Jacob, Nathan, and my brother Aaron. We went to the Ranger game. The field was a little different, though. It was a long and narrow rectangle. We could hardly see the players at the other end. At least we had floor seats (yes floor seats). I noticed I was sitting next to a guy named Adrian, a DJ from 89.7 PowerFM.
Across the field, we saw some FBI agents in dark suits with dark glasses on (like you see in the movies). They were looking for the people who caused the helicopter accident. Adrian stood up from the crowd and pointed at me shouting "She did it!"
These agents were mad. I've never seen someone that angry before. They brought out guns and started towards us. We began to back up. I remember shouting "Dude! Adrian?!" and then taking off. Now, I don't understand why we all ran. The agents were just after me.
We were in some woods and ran. It was dark and we couldn't really see anything. Back in the distance were the FBI agents. Eventually we couldn't see them anymore so we quit running. It suddenly became daytime.
We were in a small field., with the ocean visible. There were a few Asian people picking rice. Funny thing is, there wasn't any water for the rice to grow in, yet it was. The was a maze of chain link fences blocking access to the ocean. The majority of them had barbed wire on top. We walked toward the fences, assuming that if we could get into the ocean, we could get out of the country we were in and be home free. In the distance, we saw the helicopters again. It was very apparent that they were looking for us. There was a dirt road with overhanging trees. A barbed wire fence ran along the road. On one side was the ocean and the other was a field.
We ran down the road. The helicopter saw us and landed in the field next to the road. A SWAT team came out of the helicopter. We turned around and ran back toward the rice field/beach area. We headed for the ocean. The fences became an obstacle. We couldn't get over them before the SWAT team caught up. I remember one of the SWAT guys held a machine gun in my face and I got down on my knees, begging for him not to shoot me. We were all handcuffed.
We were in an office building. We were no longer handcuffed. There was no one with us except for one lady, showing us around. She pointed out the water fountain, saying we could get a drink whenever we liked. She took us through a door and we ended up in a warehouse. There were RVs everywhere (similar to the Dallas RV Show but in a smaller building) and some small cottages up in the front of the building. Me, my brother, Jacob, and Amanda were assigned a cottage to sleep in for the night and Jon, Lauren, and Kirstie were assigned an RV. I don't know what she did with Nathan. I asked the lady if I could sleep in an RV, reason being we own one and I know how to get out if locked in, but of course, I didn't tell her that. I told her I had never been in one before and thought it would be really cool to sleep in one. The lady all of a sudden became very angry with me. She told me that I will sleep where she tells me to sleep. I didn't argue.
The lady left. Surprisingly, she didn't lock us up in the areas we were instructed to stay. We found that the back of the room we were in was like the inside of a convenience store. There was a back door with a window next to it. There was a clock. We agreed that at 1:00 in the morning we would make a run for it out that back door. We didn't know what was out there. Nor did we look to see. We were just gonna go for it.
1:00 came. We bolted out the door toward the woods. Towers with spotlights came on. Sirens went off. We began a foot chase with some armed soldiers. We got to the woods and started running. I started thinking that there might be soldiers hidden in the woods. I was right. This huge solder stepped out and nailed me with the butt of his gun. I went down. He looked down at me. "Oh, you're screwed." He hit me one more time and I was out.
I woke up back in the cottage. Everyone else was in the cottage as well. Again, we weren't handcuffed or locked in. We still had full access to the warehouse. Bolting out the back door, we ran for the woods. Spotlights were shining down on us and sirens were blaring. More soldiers ran after us. We saw tanks in the distance in front of us. There was a whole crowd of ordinary people running in front of the tanks. They looked angry, but I didn't know if they were for or against us. I looked up and saw a large embankment. I noticed that everyone I was with was up the embankment, screaming at me to get up there with them. I ran to the embankment and they started to help me up.
I heard someone calling my name and I looked over. It was Adrian again. If you remember correctly, he started this. He was trying to tell me something but I didn't want to hear it. I was fumed. I looked at him. "Adrian, please just shut up. I don't want to hear what you have to say. I don't want your help. I don't want to get in any more trouble from you." The agents were getting closer and I started running. Everyone yelled at me to come back. It became very apparent that what Adrian had to say was important. I finally gave in a listened.
"Here's how you get out. There's a creek just to the left of here. Cross it and run West. When you reach another creek, cross it. Run North until you reach a gate. This gate will be heavily guarded. Don't go through it! Instead run West once more and you will find another gate. Go through it and you will be out. I am so sorry about this."
I believed him. "Ok... but why did you tell the FBI that I blew up the helicopters?"
"I thought it would be funny. I guess it wasn't."
We did exactly as he said. We crossed the first creek and ran West. Have you ever had a dream where you are running and know you can go faster than you are but for some reason you can't? That's what was happening. I couldn't catch up. I tried and tried but it wasn't happening. We finally reached the second creek and crossed it. We ended up in a park very similar to the 455 Elm Fork access park, just below the Ray Roberts dam. There were a couple of old cars in the parking lot. We got in a 1940's Mini Cooper convertible. The keys were in it. It started up and we drove North. We reached the first gate and went left (West). We drove on this road alongside what looked to me like the Ray Roberts dam but was a bit shorter and there was no water on the other side. It was like a giant grass barrier. We dodged tanks and other soldiers left and right.
We reached the second gate. It was a chain link fence. There were a bunch of hill-billy people there cheering us on. We got out of the car and hopped the fence. There was a brown tornado headed for us. There were no clouds in the sky so it was a bit weird. It went right through us and we were completely fine. It turned over all of the cars and disappeared. I got out of bed, looked at the time on my clock, and fed my fish.
A few things I'd like to point out about this dream.
I could control every single thing I did. The only part I couldn't was when I was running in the field. Something held me back. I don't know what it was, but it did.
I've never met Adrian in my life. I've only talked to him a few times on Twitter and during the All Request Show on PowerFM. That's it.

Aquarium Video & Photos!
Here are some pictures of the tanks. I also managed to get some video footage as well.

There ya go!
WOW... It's Been a Couple of Months
Time really flies during the summer, no doubt about that. Well, since my last post I've had A LOT of updates. Remember those PowerStriders I mentioned? I bought them soon after that post and have gotten really good at them. I can run, jump pretty high, and do all sortsa stuff on them. No, I can't do flips or anything like that, but hey, it's a start.
I've moved my other two albino cories into the tank with my ADF and my green cories about a few months ago. My betta pretty much turned on them and started fin-nipping. Not good. They're doing great in the new tank. They sure do love the bloodworms my frog leaves left over.
We got a new camera! I love it. Way better pictures. Will have to show ya later. It's a red Kodak M1063 point and shoot. Great little thing. We even were able to buy it for cheaper because it was a display.
I'll update later with pics and video. Have a great day!

PowerStriders - Jumping Stilts!
I've seen a lot of YouTube videos lately of people with these little devices strapped to their legs called PowerStriders. They actually have a lot of different names, mainly PowerStriders, Air-Trekkers, PoweriZers, PoweriSers, and of course, jumping stilts. They actually look quite interesting, so much so that I decided to buy a pair for myselft. After some shopping around, I came across a pair of PowerStriders for about $150 brand new up to 173 pounds off of Amazon. I bought them. Now I'm just waiting for them to show up in the mail. :)
They look like a lot of fun. :)
I've gotten my second fish tank up and running, fully cycled and everything. I've moved my ADF and my 2 green cories into it. They're happy in there. In my other tank I still have my 2 albino cories and my betta. All is well with them.
I'm selling my Wacom Graphire4 4x5 Tablet on Ebay. It is refurbished, so it is like new, in the package and everything. It also has all of the software included. I've found that I just don't use it enough. I've used it once or twice and that's about it. You can bid starting at $5.00 or buy it now for $50.00. Shipping is standard flat rate at $10.00. I do not ship outside of the United States. The tablet works with Vista, XP, Linux & Mac. And yes, it CAN be used in the Gimp. When I say Linux, I mean that I've only tried it within Ubuntu. The guide to get it working in Ubuntu was a bit extensive and had to be worked at, but nonetheless it worked successfully. You can buy it here: Wacom Graphire4 4x5 Tablet ~ $50.00!
